All job and volunteer positions are part time and flexible time positions.

General Volunteers and Community Leaders
The Garage is in need of general volunteers and individuals that would like to help the community grow. There are an infinite number of things that need to be and/or can be done within 20,000 sq ft. In addition to general cleaning, sorting, supporting, gardening, etc...if you like to teach others and/or help others become empowered, we'd love to have you on our team.
Photographers Wanted for Trade and/or Partial Payment
The Garage is in need of quality imaging for our website and social media initiatives. The images we have for our space do not represent the expanse of our facility. In addition, we have many items and shop areas that need to be curated, positioned and then photographed.
We would love to work with local photographers who are mission and community focused as well as enjoy product and environment photography.
We have:
- 3 piece flash lighting kit with filters, etc...
- backdrops
- Setup support
- Interesting portfolio content
- Accessible computer with Adobe C6 Suite
We can offer you a $10-15 per hour trade compensation towards membership and access of the space and shop areas. Depending upon number of hours worked and productivity, cash payments is possible. We have a variety of membership options from $50 to $300 to accommodate your needs.
Social Media Coordinator
The Garage wants its activities with the world.
We need someone that can make this happen, as we are too busy to give it the attention is deserves. Between the membership base, MeetUps and regular events, we have plenty of creative, educational and inspirational content to share. Our new website has a variety of social media integration options for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.
We can offer you a $10-15 per hour trade compensation towards membership and access of the space and shop areas. Depending upon number of hours worked and productivity, cash payments are possible. We have a variety of membership options from $50 to $300 to accommodate your needs.
Videographer and Content Creators
Do you have the gear, skills and ambition to accelerate change by creating empowering and fun content?
The Garage wants to provide you content related to sustainable design, aquaponics, DIY product fabrication, crowd financing and other topics that demystify steps towards independent living. Our goal is to create a free global resource for evaluating and improving low tech solutions for a global marketplace. We expect to create and market new products for revenue generation in order to support these initiatives.
Our short-term needs:
- Virtual tours of our facility
- Shop equipment training videos from expert craftsmen
- MeetUp and workshop video documentation
- Crowdfunding video production for the Garage, members and non-member customers
We have members creating content regularly and many would be open to you shooting footage as they work. Taking raw materials and creating art from it is an amazing process, especially shown in stop motion, fast forward, etc...

Shop Manager and Assistant
The Garage is in need of a Shop Manager as well as an Assistant Shop Manager.
There are simply too many details and not enough time in the day. For those that are interested in learning wood, metal or jewelry, it's an amazing opportunity to work with commercial grade equipment and individuals that are experts in their use and maintenance.
There are individuals onsite that will be supporting you in maintaining this professional environment.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Inspect, maintain and repair tools
- Equipment and tool organization
- Provide shop and tool orientations to new members
- Waste stream management
- Help with onsite projects
- Manager may be asked to support and/or coordinate tasks for other work trade members
Availability should be regular, yet flexible during week days

In order to create a safer and less maintenance prone workspace, membership orientations and public classes on tools and/or use of tools may be co-developed. The Garage would like to provide you incentive to host these classes and as such revenues gained from this work will be shared based upon shop impact, material costs, development, promotional and implementation levels. Our goal is to educate.
Further, the Garage is offering a 20% revenue share for any new membership signed up as a result of classes you create, promote and provide.

Business Development and Event Planning Directors
The Garage needs multiple Business Development and Event Planning Directors.
The Garage has huge spaces which should be shared. Your job is to activate these spaces in alignment with our mission and business ambitions. Many connections, preparations and plans have been made that only requires follow up and good energy to turn this corner.
For those that are interested in learning wood, metal or jewelry, it's an amazing opportunity to work with commercial grade equipment and individuals that are experts in their use and maintenance.
There are individuals onsite that will be supporting you in all aspects of your role.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Collaborate with strategic partners on events
- Create new opportunities with additional partners
- Create and facilitate fun events leveraging the existing space and equipment
- Help with onsite projects

The Garage would like more inhouse expertise related to crowd and cooperative financial structuring.
In addition, to the need for member product financing, we would like to develop models and push forward with supporting and/or implementing real estate crowdfunding and cooperative investing.
For those that are interested in learning wood, metal or jewelry, it's an amazing opportunity to work with commercial grade equipment and individuals that are experts in their use and maintenance.
There are individuals onsite that will be supporting you in all aspects of your role.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Coordinate MeetUps, events and partnerships with topic relevant thought leaders
- Track, attend and communicate networking opportunities related to these topics
- Financial modeling spreadsheet development and/or support
- Legal contract development and/or support
